Digital sovereignty and maximum data protection with OpenTalk. Heinlein Support shows a new, secure video conference solution with automatic moderation of large numbers of participants or support for user groups.

Heinlein Support GmbH, Linux and IT specialist from Berlin, bring the innovative video conference solution OpenTalk. The new product offers secure video conferencing for all users who value scalability, digital sovereignty and data protection.

Easily scalable for authorities or schools

Thanks to numerous innovative functions such as automatic moderation of large numbers of participants, support for user groups or private discussions during ongoing conferences, OpenTalk is particularly well suited for political debates or use in schools. The solution is highly scalable and also supports six-digit user numbers or a large number of parallel conferences.

High data protection thanks to automatic end-to-end encryption

Since OpenTalk On-Prem can be hosted in Heinlein's own or German data centers, it fulfills the highest data protection requirements, unlike US cloud solutions. OpenTalk is also subject to a consistent security architecture: It was developed in the "Rust" programming language, which is particularly well known for its security, supports 2-factor authentication and offers consistent end-to-end encryption.

Thanks to functional interfaces, the solution can be easily integrated into existing systems. For example, learning platforms can be integrated or streaming services can be docked in order to broadcast panel discussions or plenary debates to an outside audience of any size. OpenTalk is currently being implemented by the first major project partners from the public sector and will be available to companies and public bodies in the first quarter of 2022.

OpenTalk for video conferences in politics, companies and schools

"Heinlein Support has stood for free and secure communication for 30 years," says Peer Heinlein, founder and managing director of Heinlein Support GmbH. “We have already set standards with our secure, data protection e-mail provider mailbox.org. Now, with OpenTalk digital, we will be implementing sovereign video conferences for politics, companies and schools. OpenTalk will offer exactly what US cloud providers cannot. "

Throughout Germany, numerous well-known large and small companies, authorities and providers from all industries are already relying on the communication solutions from Heinlein Support. For example, the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family (SenBJF) recently decided to entrust mailbox.org with the operation of the official e-mail accounts for teachers. Customers also include the Free State of Thuringia and the State Parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
