LANCOM Systems is showing the first two SD-WAN gateways in its 1800 series in the new "blackline" housing for secure VPN office and branch connections via DSL, fiber optics, cable Internet and mobile communications.
Two models are the first in the series: The LANCOM 1800VAW offers fast dual-band WLAN (Wi-Fi 6) with supervectoring VDSL and an optional fiber optic connection (FTTH). The sister model LANCOM 1800VAW-4G provides a reliable Internet backup through additional 4G connectivity. Both gateways can optionally be operated highly automated in an SD-WAN via the LANCOM Management Cloud.
Fast with the highest security standards
Both devices have an integrated VDSL supervectoring modem for up to 300 MBit/s and enable direct connection to a fiber optic line (FTTH) using a separately available SFP module (GPON/AON). In addition, they offer maximum flexibility for connection to external modems via Gigabit Ethernet. The fast dual-band WLAN (Wi-Fi 6) module with 2×2 multi-user MIMO in the downlink and uplink reliably integrates wireless end devices into the network in the 5 GHz and 2,4 GHz bands at the same time. The Wi-Fi 6 technology enables transmission rates of up to 1.200 Mbit/s in 5 GHz and up to 575 Mbit/s in parallel in 2,4 GHz.
Secure connection of branches and mobile workstations
For maximum bandwidth and ideal load distribution, all devices in the new LANCOM Gigabit router family can use up to four Internet connections at the same time. With Advanced Routing and Forwarding (ARF), up to 16 isolated IP contexts that route separately from one another offer an efficient way of routing all IP applications via a central router and securely separating the various communication channels from one another. The five (optionally 25) integrated IPSec VPN channels ensure maximum encryption, the secure connection of branches and mobile workplaces and the protection of company-internal data.
