ESET PROTECT business bundles

Share post

ESET launches new product bundles for business users. The zero trust concept and cloud-based security solutions address the requirements of companies.

Rapid digitization is also changing the demands that organizations make on security solutions. With ESET PROTECT, the IT security manufacturer ESET is consistently serving the new requirements of its customers. The five combinations ESET PROTECT Entry, Advanced, Complete, Enterprise and Mail Plus offer optimal protection against the dangers of the digital world. The bundles are suitable for companies of all sizes, from home offices to large corporations. Four of them each contain a management console as well as endpoint protection, central remote management and extended multi-layer protection. ESET PROTECT Mail Plus offers comprehensive protection for mail servers only. Depending on the variant, there are then additional security solutions.

"The hectic transition to the home office in many places led to quick, pragmatic solutions - which, however, neglected the security level, especially of the external endpoints," says Peter Neumeier, Channel Sales Director at ESET Germany. "Obviously, internal audits took place in many companies, which led to clear requirement profiles for effective IT security." These include products from a single source that can be operated either on-premises or cloud-based ".

Five new bundles plus management console

The heart of the ESET solutions is the management console of the same name, ESET PROTECT, which runs on all common operating systems or as a cloud version. The console provides a complete overview of all endpoints in real time inside and outside an organization. This guarantees complete security management and comprehensive reporting. From the console, users can manage existing ESET products, including ESET Endpoint Security, ESET Dynamic Threat Defense and ESET Full Disk Encryption.

ESET PROTECT Entry is ideal for small offices and smaller networks. In addition to the management console, the user can rely on comprehensive security technologies ("multi-layer protection") in the fight against malware.

ESET PROTECT Advanced was optimized with regard to the constantly increasing threat situation and derived from it for the needs of SMEs and MSPs. The bundle offers endpoint protection, including against ransomware and zero-day threats, sandboxing and data protection through full hard disk encryption.

ESET PROTECT Complete also includes the protection of mail servers and cloud services used.

ESET PROTECT Enterprise is aimed at large companies for whom comprehensive transparency and strict security requirements are essential. This variant offers the highest protection factor for corporate customers with one of the most adaptable endpoint detection and response solutions on the market - the ESET Enterprise Inspector.

ESET PROTECT MAIL Plus offers dedicated protection for mail servers (or the protection of all e-mail traffic) in connection with cloud sandboxing.

High flexibility and "cloud first"

The new ESET bundles offer a high level of flexibility because they are suitable for cloud-based or on-premises use. At the same time, ESET PROTECT can be individually expanded, both in terms of the number of licenses and with additional security solutions. Similar to buying a car, the customer can add additional equipment - such as encryption or multi-factor authentication - to the "basic model". ESET PROTECT is offered as a classic license variant or as an MSP model.

New security approach "Zero Trust Security"

ESET PROTECT is based on the "Zero Trust" concept for IT security developed by Harvard University. ESET took up this conceptual basis, developed it further and tailored it to the needs of different sizes of organization. In short, it is about classifying all internal and external devices, processes and people as potentially dangerous. In times of corona and home office, this has proven to be absolutely necessary.

ESET's Zero Trust Security approach consists of a three-stage maturity model that builds on one another. The higher the level, the safer the protective effect - that is, "more mature". The model starts with the basic level "Basic Protection Plus", which follows the principle of the "Multi Secured Endpoint". This is suitable for every organization, from craft to large corporations, regardless of the individual protection requirements. This is followed by two zero trust levels with increasing security measures and services.
