AP6 Series Access Points: With the new generation of remotely managed Wi-Fi 6 access points, Sophos supports the transition to hybrid environments. The series complements the existing Sophos Secure Access portfolio, which also includes Sophos firewalls and Sophos switches.

With cloud-managed Wi-Fi, Sophos addresses the need for scalable, remotely manageable Wi-Fi solutions to accommodate the increasing number of connected devices and the proliferation of IoT systems. The combination of the Sophos AP6 Series with Sophos Switches provides channel partners with a consolidated single-vendor access solution strategy that reduces the effort and cost of managing multiple disparate systems from different vendors. With Wi-Fi 6's significant performance improvements, networks that often still operate at 1 gigabit speeds can be modernized. Sophos' new solutions address common physical bottlenecks and increase the overall network performance of the enterprise Wi-Fi infrastructure.

The Sophos AP6 420E, AP6 840, AP6 840E and AP6 420X outdoor models have at least one integrated 2,5 Gigabit interface for fast LAN connections. Combined with Sophos Multi-Gigabit switches, which also support 2,5 Gigabit Ethernet, companies can ensure high speeds across the entire network. The AP6 420E and 840E access points support Wi-Fi 6E, which also allows businesses to take advantage of the newer and less congested 6 GHz band, ensuring high performance for the latest devices.

Central management of the security ecosystem

Sophos access points are managed from any location via the cloud-based Sophos Central platform, in which other Sophos solutions can be centrally administered. This allows partners to monitor all customer installations, respond to alerts, and manage licenses and pending renewal dates from a single, intuitive interface. Additionally, administrators can make on-AP settings via a local interface.
