The free webinar entitled “Help my data is encrypted!” on March 17, 2022 gives an insight into the current cyber threat situation. Stefan Becker from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) will give a lecture at 9:35 a.m. on the topic "Current threat situation".

Authorities and companies are in the crosshairs of digital espionage, sabotage and data theft. According to BKA crime statistics, six percent more cases of computer crime were reported in 2020 than in 2019. The damage caused by cybercrime amounts to more than 220 billion euros per year in the German economy alone. Cyber criminals are particularly interested in sensitive, often personal data and valuable company know-how.

Webinar on March 17, 2022 from 09:30 a.m. “Help, my data is encrypted!”

In response to the increasing threat scenario, both the German government and the European Commission have proposed legislative measures - including the IT Security Act 2.0 and the NIS 2 Directive. These include far-reaching new requirements, especially for companies.

As part of the ISWA webinar "Help, my data is encrypted!", we offer interested representatives from companies, associations and chambers an overview of the current cyber threat situation and current regulatory initiatives. In addition, the exchange of experiences with practitioners provides valuable insights into ways to strengthen the cyber resilience of one's own organization.
