Trend Micro integrates IPS rules with the AWS Network Firewall. Trusted protection for easy-to-manage, scalable network security.

Trend Micro is a launch partner for the AWS Network Firewall. This new managed service simplifies the deployment of critical network protection measures for all Amazon Virtual Private Clouds (Amazon VPCs) on Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a launch partner, Trend Micro has integrated managed threat intelligence feeds from its cloud security solution to provide the best possible protection inline with the new AWS Network Firewall.

Strategically protect cloud environments

The advancing digital transformation presents companies with the decision of how to strategically protect their cloud environments while maintaining scalability and minimizing friction losses.

According to Gartner, “in the past, companies used multiple firewalls from different manufacturers on the perimeter or in front of the demilitarized zone in order to achieve an overlap. This was done out of fear of not being able to rely on a single product. […] This argument has its justification - backdoors and vulnerabilities occur occasionally. However, implementing multiple firewalls also increases management complexity, increases the potential for human error, decreases scalability, and increases operating costs. "

Trend Micro's built-in Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) intelligence scans traffic for malicious intent so the firewall can stop threats before they can get into a virtual private cloud. Together, AWS and Trend Micro provide a simple, scalable service with robust protection that does not require infrastructure management.

Hybrid cloud security solutions in AWS environments

Trend Micro offers complete hybrid cloud security solutions that make it easy to protect business data in AWS environments. This includes additional network security as well as protection for cloud-native services, cloud storage and cloud-based applications. Trend Micro threat intelligence will be available to AWS Network Firewall customers for free and with easy deployment.
