Trend Micro continues to grow in the areas of technology and industrial security and is further expanding its technical team in Germany. As part of the strategic alignment, a dedicated sales team is also being formed for the OT and IIoT areas.

Trend Micro, one of the world's leading providers of IT security, continues to expand its team for the German market despite the pandemic. The Japanese IT security provider is getting double growth in the field of technology and is also bundling its expertise in the areas of Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). After the recently announced increase in personnel in the areas of finance and channel, this is a further strategic step in order to be a reliable partner for customers in view of the increasing complexity in the security environment.

Double growth in the technical team

The technical team welcomes two new employees with over 20 years of expertise in the field of IT and IT security. In the past few years, Sven von Kreyfeld was primarily responsible for federal authorities as a systems engineer at Symantec. With his in-depth understanding of the requirements of customers in the public sector, he has been supporting the German presales team at Trend Micro since December 2020.

The Japanese IT security provider Nils Ujma, who has also been supporting the technical team since December 2020 in his new role as sales engineer, welcomes the second newcomer. Customers in the telecommunications sector in particular benefit from his extensive experience in areas such as cloud, NFV and 5G security.

Reinforcement for the focus areas OT and IIoT

Trend Micro is taking into account its increased strategic focus on OT and IIoT by setting up a dedicated team of experienced salespeople. These will drive the industrial security solutions business from TXOne Networks, a joint venture between Trend Micro and Moxa, in the German market.

Oliver Stolz, who has been with the company since May 2020, will be active in this area as an Enterprise Account Manager in the future. The business graduate is a specialist in complex projects and the sale of managed services.

The team is further strengthened by Peter Kurfürst as Major Account Manager. In this position he is responsible for the distribution of industrial security solutions in the large enterprise segment. Peter Kurfürst has been with Trend Micro since 2016 and has many years of experience in looking after major customers.

On the technical side, Olaf Mischkovsky, who has been with Trend Micro since May 2020, provides support as a "Subject Matter Expert" for OT and IIoT. With over 18 years of experience in IT and OT security, he advises companies in the enterprise and large enterprise segment on technical security issues as a senior sales engineer. Thanks to his many years of work in various national and international standardization working groups and associations, he knows the industry and its needs.
