TeamViewer is expanding its support for IT infrastructure solutions and now also supports remote access to physical network-attached storage devices (NAS) from QNAP. QNAP users can download the TeamViewer IoT Agent for their NAS from the QNAP App Center starting today.

QNAP NAS devices are an integral part of regular backup and file sharing processes in many businesses, from large corporations to small offices. With the integration of TeamViewer, QNAP NAS administrators can now monitor the status of the NAS devices via the TeamViewer desktop client or the browser-based application and connect to them if necessary - protected by functions such as a masked IP address and an end -to-end 256-bit session encryption.

Using TeamViewer, IT teams can remotely monitor and manage their QNAP NAS devices thanks to first-class connectivity and data security, ”said Aseem Manmualiya, QNAP Product Manager. "We are very proud to offer our QNAP NAS users an optimal user experience through the partnership between QNAP and TeamViewer."

“We are pleased that TeamViewer is now available in the QNAP App Center as we are constantly looking for ways to facilitate maintenance and remote access to critical IT infrastructures such as NAS devices. TeamViewer has always been the preferred solution for remote connectivity among IT professionals. Our numerous integrations are proof of the high level of acceptance of our software, ”explains Constantin Falcoianu, Director Business Development at TeamViewer.
