Most common malware index in July 2024
The current Threat Index shows that RansomHub continues to be the most active ransomware group. At the same time, researchers have identified a Remcos Windows malware campaign exploiting a recently released security update. The Global Threat Index for July 2024 shows: Despite a significant drop in June, LockBit has risen back to become the second most dangerous ransomware group in the past month, while RansomHub remains at the top. Meanwhile, researchers have identified both a campaign to spread Remcos malware following a CrowdStrike update issue and a set of new FakeUpdate tactics that once again rose to the top of the top malware list in July….
