Updated Rockwell Automation Industrial Data Center provides improved security and reliability.

Rockwell Automation has introduced an updated version of its Industrial Data Center (IDC). The latest generation of IDC increases physical security by adding an ID scanner for access monitoring at the front and back doors. A new switch platform also contributes to greater reliability and ease of maintenance.

IDC ready for virtualized environment

The IDC contains all hardware, software and installation services that are required for the provision of a virtualized environment. The turnkey solution provides all company applications and simplifies their administration and support. Since the IDC is already pre-designed and ready for immediate use, there is no need for design and configuration work on site. This helps to reduce lead times and accelerate commissioning. To simplify updates, the IDC enables new software to be installed and tested without affecting existing software.
