Rockwell Automation acquires cybersecurity company Oylo. This is a service company for OT cybersecurity.
Rockwell Automation, a global leader in industrial automation and digital transformation, has announced the acquisition of Oylo, a private industrial cybersecurity service provider based in Barcelona, Spain. Oylo offers a wide range of cybersecurity services and solutions for industrial control systems (ICS), including risk assessments, turnkey implementations, administrative services and troubleshooting.
“With the arrival of connected smart devices on the factory floor, a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that spans industrial operations (OT) and information technology (IT) is now more important than ever. We support our customers to successfully launch their own Connected Enterprise and the deep expertise that Oylo brings to Rockwell Automation will further enhance our ability to make that expertise available globally,” said Frank Kulaszewicz, Senior Vice President, Lifecycle Services at Rockwell Automation.
Oylo complements the know-how in the field of IT cybersecurity
The acquisition of Oylo illustrates Rockwell Automation's commitment to providing world-class cybersecurity services and solutions. Oylo's expertise in OT cybersecurity complements the expertise in IT cybersecurity already enhanced with the recent acquisition of Avnet Data Security. The acquisition of Oylo further enhances Rockwell Automation's global capabilities in this rapidly evolving market and expands its cybersecurity service offering for the industrial market.
"We look forward to continuing to support our loyal customers and partners while further expanding our services to organizations worldwide," said Eduardo Di Monte, Founder and CEO of Oylo. Oylo is managed as part of the Lifecycle Services operating segment.
