Trend Micro XDR solutions and services enable MSPs, channel partners, to build SOC services on advanced technology and leading security expertise.

Trend Micro, one of the world's leading providers of IT security, supports channel partners in building strong services for managed detection and response. Today more than ever, customers of all sizes need competent help when it comes to detecting threats. With the comprehensive threat defense platform Trend Micro Vision One for the enterprise area, Trend Micro Worry-Free XDR and Co-Managed XDR for SMBs and the analyst service Trend Micro Managed XDR, Managed Services Providers (MSP) can Integrate technology and specialized know-how into their business models. Trend Micro partners and IT service providers such as PingUs Solutions GmbH & Co. KG, ATD GmbH or pco GmbH & Co. KG have already successfully developed their business in this way - and protect their customers even better against cyber attacks.

Managed XDR for Managed Services Providers (MSPs)

"If you want to be seen as a trusted advisor who not only reads digitization, but also lives and drives it forward, then you should definitely take the train towards XDR early on," says Christian Gäbel, Business Development Manager Cybersecurity at pco. The IT service provider operates its own SOC (Security Operations Center) for its customers and relies on Trend Micro Vision One, XDR and Managed XDR.

XDR (Extended Detection & Response) is a technology for the rapid detection and investigation of complex cyber attacks. According to Gartner, it is one of the "Top Security and Risk Management Trends". XDR goes well beyond endpoint detection and response (EDR) and SIEM. The technology analyzes and correlates security data across all IT vectors - from the endpoints to the server, network and email to the cloud. AI and global threat intelligence are used for this.

With the help of XDR, pco can reduce the number of alerts that accumulate in the SOC by up to 90 percent. Agents immediately see what's important and get a comprehensive picture of an attack at a glance. The IT service provider relieves its team, increases security, increases efficiency in the SOC and optimizes costs.

SOC services even without your own security analysts

Thanks to the Worry-Free with Co-Managed XDR SaaS package, even small MSPs can define powerful managed detection and response services. Trend Micro security experts then analyze the warning messages, assess their criticality and recommend countermeasures. In this way, PingUs offers a 24/7 SOC service together with Trend Micro – without requiring its own security analysts.

Caroline Kiel, Managing Director and CEO at PingUs explains: “As a small company, we are rightly asked again and again how we can handle a 24×7 SOC service. We openly communicate that we are working together with our strong partner Trend Micro and have agreed on an alarm filter that relieves our consultants and only involves the customer in an emergency.”

Trend Micro Worry-Free XDR at the core of the MSP portfolio

ATD GmbH also supplements its own know-how with Trend Micro Managed XDR. In addition, the IT service provider Trend Micro has integrated Worry-Free XDR as a fixed component in all of its security service packages. The SaaS solution is particularly quick and easy to deploy and includes security sensors for endpoints and email.

"We believe that the threat situation has made Trend Micro XDR an indispensable technology," says Michael Engelnkemper, who is responsible for the MSP portfolio at ATD. "It enables a holistic view of an infection chain and increases protection."

XDR for every business model

MSPs have a variety of ways to integrate Trend Micro XDR into their services. There is a suitable variant for every business model. Vision One is a comprehensive solution: The threat defense platform is suitable for large customers and managed security services in a one-to-one model. Trend Micro Worry-Free XDR is ideal for SMBs and services in the one-to-many model. Both Vision One and Worry-Free XDR can be supplemented with the analyst service Managed XDR.

"Trend Micro supports its channel partners with a flexible set of security solutions that ensure a smooth customer process and also provide verifiable compliance," said Christina Decker, Head of Channels and Alliances at Trend Micro. “Depending on the orientation of the business model, partners can map the stages of digital transformation with Trend Micro in a modular way. Our partners thus receive all the prerequisites from a single source to make a long-term contribution to their customers’ value chain.”
