MSP partners can now use Bitdefender's Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services. IT service providers receive an established, automated and integrated service for security and risk analysis. Bitdefender is a global leader in cybersecurity solutions protecting over 500 million systems in 150 countries.

Bitdefender detection and prevention engines are trusted by more than 20.000 MSPs worldwide. These engines are now complemented with Managed Detection and Response Services supported by a Bitdefender SOC with 24/7 service. The experts search for, identify and neutralize cyber threats in order to protect new and existing MSP partners and their customers. For European customers, the MDR data is in the AWS cloud in Germany, the data analysis takes place in the SOC in San Antonio, Texas.

The offer is particularly significant against the background of the continuing increase in sophisticated attacks, which has accelerated in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Given the current situation, many MSP customers have made a swift move to working from home. Many of the current attacks target MSPs directly, as they are potentially an efficient medium for compromising large numbers of managed companies and organizations simultaneously.

The coronavirus pandemic has also given threat actors the opportunity to exploit fear and the need for information about Covid-19. This is how spearphishing email campaigns were launched that lured users into clicking attachments. Methods like these can be used by attackers to inject threats and compromise employee devices.

Alina Draganescu, Executive Director, MSPs at Bitdefender, commented, “The threat landscape has become extremely complex and the number of attack vectors in hybrid environments where people work at home and in the office has increased significantly. We are therefore increasingly receiving inquiries from providers of managed IT services. You want to work with partners to keep it safe. This enables them to meet the high expectations of their customers and protect them adequately around the clock. ”A Bitdefender survey of MSPs found that 52 percent of them are looking to add EDR capabilities to their security portfolios and 23 percent are planning to add MDR services to use them to improve the service for their customers.
