Leaseweb Global Extends Backup Integration with Veeam to Enterprises Worldwide. Additional cloud portfolio investments are intended to support companies in their international expansion.

Leaseweb Global, a leading provider of hosting and cloud services, today announced the integration of Veeam-based solutions for its Leaseweb cloud services. Veeam is a leading manufacturer of backup solutions for cloud data management. The new services are available at Leaseweb's international locations in Amsterdam-1, Amsterdam-2, London and Frankfurt and will be introduced at the US location in Washington DC before the end of the year. Further locations are planned for 2021. Companies that rely on Leaseweb for their international expansion can now enter multiple markets thanks to Veeam's industry-leading solutions - a requirement of customers who wanted globally accessible cloud services. The expansion of the partnership means that the service is now available to a greater extent across the entire network of Leaseweb national companies. This enables companies to be close to their own customers while maintaining full control over the data. In addition, companies with an international focus wanted solutions that they could offer in other strategic markets.

Cloud services are being upgraded

Veeam's integration with Leaseweb's cloud services follows the recent launch of Leaseweb Cloud Connect and is part of the company's ongoing investments in its cloud portfolio.

“A current market trend is the expansion of the 'as-a-service' model. At the same time, companies are increasingly opting for private, public, hybrid cloud or multi-cloud solutions,” says Gonzalo de la Rocha, Product Manager at Leaseweb. “The current global situation is a challenge for many companies. Most feel the need to be more efficient while simultaneously taking on multiple projects, with workloads moving to cloud models. The large amount of data processed in the cloud requires the use of the latest technology. This is the only way to ensure that the data can be properly managed and protected in terms of security and system stability. Thanks to Veeam, we can offer our customers the system stability and control they need without high entry fees but with competitive OPEX models.”

Support digital transformation

"This expansion of our Leaseweb partnership to new areas comes at a time when companies need to protect and manage their data more than ever," commented Bert van Meel, Senior Territory Manager, Cloud, Benelux, Veeam. “Despite the circumstances, companies are doing everything in their power to continue their digital transformation. You have learned how critical the use of cloud services is and that data protection through reliable and sensible backup services is part of it. We look forward to working with a company that is so committed to the success of its customers. "
