DataDome has enhanced its security solution for bot management and against online fraud with an innovative CAPTCHA solution. DataDome's CAPTCHA is the first secure and easy-to-use CAPTCHA that can defeat even today's best-disguised bots.

DataDomes CAPTCHA is fully integrated into the detection engine and offers comprehensive protection against malicious bots and a significantly higher usability than other CAPTCHA solutions. The solution works almost exclusively in the background - 99,99% of real users will not see a CAPTCHA and will still benefit from its advantages. In addition, the solution is compliant with local data protection laws around the world.

Data protection compliant use

"Unlike other CAPTCHAs that frustrate users and often collect personal information without informing them, DataDome offers an exceptional and privacy-compliant user experience," said Benjamin Fabre, CEO of DataDome. “And because our CAPTCHA was designed with cybersecurity in mind, it offers the highest level of security protection against today's sophisticated bots. DataDome is the only solution that is secure by design, protecting businesses from bots and online fraud across all endpoints on mobile apps, websites and APIs.”

No chance for CAPTCHA farms

CAPTCHAs, which are intended for very simple human validation, have not been coupled with any security logic. This makes it easy for bots and online scammers to bypass common CAPTCHA solutions. DataDome's CAPTCHA, on the other hand, was built from the ground up by a security company. According to customer data collected by DataDome, 50% of the supposed users who passed other CAPTCHA providers' challenges were actually bots. DataDome combines the signals from its CAPTCHAs with trillions of other signals it processes every day to detect and respond to new bot techniques in real-time, effectively terminating CAPTCHA farms.

DataDome's CAPTCHA collects only information necessary for security purposes, and it is not shared, resold, or retained for more than 30 days. All data is processed and stored in a local Points of Presence (PoP) to ensure compliance with local data protection regulations. No personally identifiable information (PII) is ever collected.
