New infographic explains NDR: Network Detection and Response. Even for small and medium-sized companies, more security is within reach thanks to comprehensive monitoring of all data traffic in the network.

Companies and organizations are never defenseless against even sophisticated and innovative cyber attacks. Threats reveal themselves in network traffic. At some point in their chain of attacks, hackers have to examine systems, install malware, move data and open communication paths that do not fit the typical pattern of an organization.

Against manipulation in your own network

The instrument cybersecurity specialists use to analyze data traffic in order to detect attacks and stop them is called NDR: Network Detection and Response. Because NDR has so far mainly been a matter for large corporations, even some cyber security professionals are not yet familiar with the approach. A new infographic from the provider ForeNova now explains the basics of the technology.

Network Detection and Response is one of the fastest growing cybersecurity market segments. The analyst firm IDC spoke in December 2020 of an annual growth of 24 percent year-on-year. Thomas Krause, Regional Director for German-speaking countries, comments: “Small and medium-sized companies are now just as much the target of complex attacks as large companies. You must therefore recognize complex dangers early on. However, this task has so far overwhelmed small and medium-sized companies and their IT resources. In view of new possibilities, such as artificial intelligence for quickly defining a normal state of IT, central management and integration into other solutions, you can now also use the advantages of NDR.
