The new security solution with comprehensive protection coverage Sophos Cloud Native Security protects all servers in companies - from on-premises to multi-cloud, from Windows to Linux and offers full integration with Sophos Central.

With Sophos Cloud Native Security, Sophos has introduced a solution that offers comprehensive security coverage across cloud environments, functions, services and identities. Sophos Cloud Native Security bundles the two products Sophos Intercept X Advanced for servers with XDR and Sophos Cloud Optix Advanced. It supports companies in securing cloud environments and offers a high level of transparency, central administration and prioritized detection, including fast response times to cyber incidents.

Unified cloud security

When companies move server functions and services to cloud hosts, containers or serverless environments, these IT environments must be resilient, difficult to compromise and quickly recoverable in the event of a disaster. To achieve this, a central and integrated security platform that unifies cloud security and provides transparency across the entire infrastructure is essential.

With the shared security model (AWS, Azure), users are responsible for protecting their instances, applications and data. Sophos Cloud Native Security offers a unified cloud security platform built on four pillars:

  • Access Protection - Protects credentials and provides secure access to cloud services
  • Workload Protection - Discover, retrieve, and secure hybrid cloud capabilities and services
  • Network Protection - Provides cloud network security and automatic threat response
  • DevOps Integration - Allows security to be embedded into development processes

  • Visibility, management, entitlement management, and compliance across single and multiple cloud environments including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, as well as traditional on-premises monitoring.
  • Infrastructure and data discovery with flexible host and container workload security for Windows and Linux
  • Increased flexibility and collaboration across the enterprise with security posture alerts in the cloud environment that integrate with popular SIEM, collaboration, workflow, and DevOps tools.

In addition, Sophos Cloud Native Security supports the new Amazon malware protection services of the Amazon GuardDuty Malware Protection Service. GuardDuty results are integrated into Sophos Central through Sophos Cloud Native Security for greater visibility and a prioritized view of threats.

Sophos Cloud Native Security and the new Sophos Cloud Native Firewall solution, which will be available soon in preview (EAP), are integrated into the Sophos XDR platform. The Cloud Native Firewall will support IPS, WAF rules, micro-segmentation and admission control and can be deployed via Kubernetes, AWS EKS and Azure AKS.
