CrowdStrike Falcon Insight XDR helps customers manage and gain visibility into their ChromeOS device fleet without the need for a mobile device management solution.

CrowdStrike and Google's partnership introduces the industry's first EDR/XDR offering that provides visibility and threat detection for ChromeOS devices without the need for a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution. With Falcon Insight XDR, organizations enjoy industry-leading detection and response capabilities to stop attackers on ChromeOS, Linux, macOS and Windows devices from a unified console for the widest possible cross-platform coverage.

New XDR features on ChromeOS

  • Native ChromeOS XDR: Visibility gaps are eliminated with native ChromeOS event telemetry fed directly from Google without additional MDM agents.
  • Simplified management using the CrowdStrike Falcon console: Full visibility is provided by presenting ChromeOS devices alongside other data sources in a unified console.
  • Faster incident handling and response times: Automate notifications based on contextual insights and detections using CrowdStrike Falcon Fusion, an integrated component of the CrowdStrike Falcon platform.

“ChromeOS devices are designed with security in mind from the start. To meet the needs of enterprise customers, we have provided the developer ecosystem with features to help monitor ChromeOS devices and provide visibility into their device fleet,” said Scott Porter, Managing Director for Android & Chrome Enterprise Partnerships Google. "We are excited that CrowdStrike has become our first XDR partner to enable monitoring of ChromeOS devices within their platform."

CrowdStrike's ChromeOS integration with Google will be available for all devices running ChromeOS 110 or later. The integration will be generally available to customers in June 2023.
