ESET can be reached and provides information at it-sa 365. The IT security trade fair in Nuremberg is also of great digital interest for ESET. Right at the opening there will be a lecture on the topic of “Zero Trust Security”.

ESET remains loyal to the IT security trade fair it-sa and its digital response to Corona "it-sa 365" (October 6-8, 2020) even in difficult times. At the IT security manufacturer, this year's trade fair activities revolve around the question of which holistic security approaches companies can use to guarantee the security of their IT infrastructure. Because the effects of Covid-19 is just one of the rapidly changing framework conditions that companies are currently struggling with. In two lectures and the economic study “Quo vadis, company?” ESET provides new impulses and incentives for rethinking security.

Zero trust is gaining in importance because of home office

With many employees moving to the home office, companies are facing new security requirements. While IT concepts were previously geared towards computers in the office, new dangers from RDP attacks to ransomware on private computers that are used for business are now coming to the fore. The no longer fresh and much discussed approach of the Zero Trust is experiencing its second spring: as a model of thought and as a pragmatic solution.

Lecture: Zero Trust Security: Buzzword or Solution

October 06.10.2020th, 10 / 00:10 am - 30:XNUMX am
Speakers: Michael Schröder / Thorsten Urbanski

Hardened endpoints are the measure of all things

In practice, zero trust means: The endpoint must be hardened more than before. Because it is less and less behind the secure IT walls of the company. The trend towards home offices and mobile working calls for expanded measures to contain cyber threats. In addition to malware protection, encryption and multi-factor authentication, cloud sandboxing is also part of modern endpoint equipment. With Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and Threat Intelligence, additional expansion stages are conceivable as options on the company side.

With hardened endpoints into a secure future

07.10.2020 / 10:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
Speaker: Peter Neumeier (Channel Sales Director DACH)

After all lectures, the speakers are available for personal communication. ESET is updating and expanding its range of security solutions in line with the topic of zero trust. For example, with ESET Cloud Office Security, new software for securing Microsoft 365 will be released shortly. In addition, new products for encryption and cloud sandboxing as well as software bundles will appear as complete solutions.

“The exterior design is new and digital, but the heart of the it-sa 365 continues to beat analog. Because direct contact with customers - in whatever form - is a matter close to our hearts. In this way, we can respond to requests individually and perhaps evoke new security thinking in dialogue, ”says Peter Neumeier, Channel Sales Director DACH at ESET Deutschland GmbH.
