Absolute Software, a leading provider of self-healing zero trust solutions, has achieved Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 12.14+ with its NetMotion Mobility 4 VPN solution. NetMotion Mobility, which meets the highest level of certification internationally recognized under the Common Criteria program for software products, is the company's Secure Access product.
Absolute is the only networking solution provider to receive this certification for its Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology for Android, iOS, macOS and Windows. The certification confirms that NetMotion Mobility meets the highest security requirements and meets the complex security needs of government and enterprise customers. Common Criteria EAL4+ certification, considered the gold standard for government-level security, validates Absolute's commitment to delivering products that meet rigorous international security standards.
Highly secure VPN for remote workers
Absolute secure access solutions are purpose-built for remote workers, enabling a stable connection to mission-critical mobile apps and data. Absolute is the only provider to offer Resilient Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) along with a VPN solution. This allows organizations to use the same secure tunnel to gradually roll out ZTNA while maintaining a corporate VPN that's available when needed.
“Our Secure Access products are used by thousands of institutions around the world, including public safety agencies, governments and businesses. They enable remote access via VPN and ZTNA in a way that actively improves the employee experience while ensuring maximum security and uncompromised productivity,” said John Herrema, Executive Vice President of Product and Strategy at Absolute. "Given the number and scale of threats from careless employees or malicious insiders, cybercriminals and state actors, we believe our continued investment in this assessment and certification process is critical to being a leading, trusted security provider."
Common Criteria—ISO 15408
The Common Criteria (ISO 15408) are the international standard for the security certification of IT products and are mutually recognized by 31 member countries of the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA), including Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Canada, Sweden and Spain , Great Britain and the USA. The Common Criteria is a framework that ensures that the process of specifying, implementing, and evaluating a computer security solution has been performed in a rigorous, standardized, achievable, repeatable, and testable manner at a level appropriate to the target environment for deployment.
