Digital Guardian offers enterprise data loss prevention for Microsoft Teams. Deep data transparency and flexible control to protect sensitive data in Microsoft's enterprise collaboration platform.
Digital Guardian, a leading provider of data loss prevention (DLP) and managed detection and response (MDR), is now offering endpoint DLP visibility and security controls for Microsoft teams. The integration allows data loss prevention at enterprise level, in order to be able to protect sensitive data in hybrid working environments even better in view of the increasing use of the Microsoft collaboration platform.
Seamless integration in Microsoft Teams
Digital Guardian's endpoint DLP solution is seamlessly integrated into teams and enables companies to:
- The enhanced visibility and endpoint control of Teams messages and shared files for protection against insider threats and data leaks
- The application of Microsoft Information Protection confidentiality markings to sensitive documents in teams to get the most out of existing security investments
- Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and legal requirements, including GDPR and PCI-DSS
Digital Guardian DLP for Microsoft Teams enables data transparency in almost real time, analyzes all Teams messages and their attachments, compares them with established DLP guidelines and alerts security teams to violations. To provide a broader context for potential insider threats, Digital Guardian searches all messages and attachments for keywords. The solution identifies the highest risk incidents and automatically removes the messages or attachments that violate the company's data processing and security policies. Security analysts can also manually review policy violations and take remedial action if necessary.
Prevent data theft by insiders
"With the integration of Digital Guardian's Endpoint DLP into Microsoft Teams, companies can apply our proven enterprise DLP to their Teams environment to prevent accidental data leaks and data theft by insiders," said Digital Guardian Chief Executive Officer Mordecai Rosen. "This integration gives IT security managers the deep data transparency and granular controls they need to protect sensitive data in teams without hindering employee collaboration."
“We are excited to announce that Digital Guardian is joining the Microsoft Teams ecosystem of integrated DLP solutions. As the work-from-home model has evolved into a hybrid, work-from-anywhere world, IT and security managers are looking for innovative tools that encourage collaboration while preventing data loss for Microsoft 365 customers, ”says Yaron Hezroni, Principal Program Manager for the Teams Ecosystem at Microsoft. "Digital Guardian takes advantage of the Teams Graph APIs to deliver the optimized workflows necessary for employee success while ensuring the protection of critical company data."
