The security specialist Intra2net expands the product family. With the new Intra2net Appliance Micro, the manufacturer presents a particularly compact hardware platform that is designed for use in networks with up to ten workstations. The range of functions of the silent and energy-saving appliance ranges from a secure site connection to comprehensive UTM protection for small companies.
High throughput rates and AES hardware acceleration
The new Intra2net Appliance Micro provides the performance reserves you are used to from Intra2net hardware. The firewall throughput rate is 900 Mbit/s. 150 Mbit/s are achieved with VPN connections, and 50 Mbit/s as an HTTP proxy with antivirus scan. The appliance also supports AES 256-bit hardware acceleration. Four gigabit Ethernet interfaces enable easy connection of guest networks, WLAN access points or VoIP telephones.
A 32 GB SSD serves as data storage. The dimensions of the appliance made in Germany are 250 x 44,5 x 183 mm. Thanks to a power consumption of just seven watts, the device can also be operated in an energy-efficient manner. With the slim appliance in desktop format, Intra2net completes the product portfolio with a hardware firewall for small networks.

The software packages pre-installed on the appliance can be activated at any time using a license key. Intra2net Network Security is designed as basic protection with internet access, firewall and VPN. The UTM solution Intra2net Security Gateway also offers mail and web security including spam filters, antivirus and access control for Internet access.
