Bitdefender is bringing improved MDR services to businesses of all sizes. New managed detection and response offerings for increased proactive protection and sophisticated threat detection.

Bitdefender is expanding its existing Managed Detection and Response (MDR) portfolio and is strengthening its position as an innovative MDR provider with the introduction of new technologies and services. The newly launched offers and functionalities are closely geared to the security needs of customers and at the same time lower the barriers that companies face when using MDR.

Three new Managed Detection and Response (MDR) packages

Bitdefender offers three new MDR packages. They help customers quickly improve their threat detection and incident responsiveness:

  • Bitdefender MDR Core: Provides best-in-class next-generation virus and malware protection, application and device control, host-based firewall and web control, and endpoint detection and response - all from a single, unified cloud-managed agent. The price for MDR Core starts at 5,99 euros per endpoint and month.
  • Bitdefender MDR Advanced: Combines Bitdefender MDR Core with proactive threat search, user-based analysis, custom threat modeling and customized incident response schedules. The price for MDR Advanced starts at 8,99 euros per endpoint per month. IoT monitoring is available as an additional service.
  • Bitdefender MDR Enterprise: Provides the most advanced MDR service available today. It contains all the functions of the MDR Core and MDR Advanced packages along with dark web monitoring, monitoring the phishing domain registry, monitoring intellectual property, integrating custom tools and monitoring important and risky targets. The prices for MDR Enterprise start at 12,99 euros per endpoint and month. IoT monitoring is available as an additional service.

New MDR service

Bitdefender MDR Service new

Bitdefender has revised and completely improved its MDR service.

For the first time, the expanded MDR portfolio combines Bitdefender's proven security technologies for endpoint detection security analyzes and network traffic analyzes with the expertise of highly qualified analysts. The service provides advanced security incident detection with rapid response using automated, pre-approved processes. These enable the analysts to take measures quickly and thus mitigate and defend against threats.

Bitdefender MDR analysts have extensive cybersecurity expertise in demanding commercial and national security environments and are industry certified (GCIA, GCIH and / or SANS) based on their roles and responsibilities. You need to attend training regularly and be kept up to date. The MDR service integrates threat intelligence that ensures a direct knowledge transfer between Bitdefender labs and MDR analysts. The analysis is supported by Bitdefender telemetry of 500 million endpoints and proprietary threat detection techniques and combined with curated information. In this way, the data is improved and placed in context - sophisticated attacks can be identified and responded to more quickly.

Central key functionalities of the MDR services

  • Bitdefender Human Risk Analytics to assess and report risks related to employee behavior, misconfigurations, weak passwords, etc.
  • High Risk Target Monitoring to protect against whale phishing, BEC targeting executives and the environment of board members and against many other related threats
  • Dark web monitoring with a view to stolen customer data. In this way, previous violations and data leaks can be detected and proactively responded to in order to prevent further damage.
  • Pre-approved actions, including the ability to perform custom investigation actions and responses from a remote console
  • Tailor-made, needs-based threat search for companies
  • Advanced analyzes with link visualization; they show complex relationships that arise in the course of an investigation

Always the customer in focus

Bitdefender MDR is focused on ease of use. Customers receive a direct contact person in the MDR team who knows their business and their security requirements exactly. They are also supported by an official call escalation and notification process that ensures that the right people get the information they need as quickly as possible based on the severity of the event. Bitdefender MDR can be easily integrated into existing case management platforms and IT / ticketing workflows. In addition, it also simplifies reporting by providing real-time dashboards, analyzes and recommendations as well as long-term threat analyzes with monthly security reports and quarterly business overviews to inform the strategic decision-making process after an incident.

"We want our customers to have peace of mind and to be a true partner by their side," said Gavin Hill, Bitdefender's vice president of product marketing. “Bitdefender MDR gives businesses peace of mind to focus on their business. You know our team of experts monitors and automatically intervenes on sophisticated threats 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year.”
