Acronis launches Advanced Data Loss Prevention package

Acronis has launched a new Advanced Data Loss Prevention (DLP) package for Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud - a solution that reliably protects Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and companies of all sizes against data leaks

Drawing on years of data protection experience with MSPs, this set of add-ons removes the barriers that previously stood in the way of more widespread adoption of DLP solutions: grueling rollouts and tedious management burdens.

Protect sensitive data reliably

For years, companies have been struggling to reliably protect their sensitive data from unauthorized access by external attackers or risks from insiders. Only a handful of large companies have had the resources to handle the complexity, high deployment costs, and significant roadblocks that typically accompany the implementation of a DLP solution. Therefore, according to Global Industry Analysts Inc., it is estimated that the global market for DLP solutions will grow to over $2026 billion by 6.

The Gartner® "Market Guide 2021 for Data Loss Prevention" also states accordingly: "Small to medium-sized companies have often had difficulties implementing and operating DLP tools. Whilst appropriate consulting services and managed DLP services can be a way to make a profit from managing such tools. However, they cannot replace the necessary in-house knowledge about the data to be protected and the risk responsibility of the company departments concerned.”

Acronis AdvancedDLP

The integration of behavioral DLP capabilities into the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform extends its ability to provide unified data protection, cyber security and management capabilities for data, systems and workloads - regardless of their storage or location. This enables our platform to deliver an unprecedented range of cyber protection capabilities that meet the requirements of the renowned NIST Cyber Security Framework (from threat identification to damage remediation), thus enabling the business continuity of to guarantee companies reliable.

Early Access version of Acronis Advanced DLP

  • Can protect sensitive data transmitted over a variety of user and system connections (such as instant messaging applications or any type of peripheral device)
  • Also uses the well-known, unified Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud console and the associated protection agent for the classification and monitoring of the sensitive data.
  • Provides out-of-the-box data classification templates that comply with common data protection regulations (such as GDPR/EU-DSGVO, HIPAA or PCI DSS).
  • Enables continuous monitoring of DLP incidents with various options for enforcing DLP policies, which can also be continuously and automatically adapted to company-specific requirements.
  • Has robust auditing and logging capabilities that enable administrators to effectively respond to DLP events and conduct forensic investigations when data breaches have occurred.

With just one platform and one agent making this exceptionally easy-to-use approach to DLP available, MSPs and enterprises benefit from faster, easier deployment and reduced time-to-value—and the ability to eliminate the most common threats to sensitive data. These benefits also apply to larger organizations that not only need out-of-the-box protection, but also need the ability to evaluate more complex and demanding DLP programs with multi-year implementation cycles.
