New client management simplifies IT administration. The brand new version ACMP 6 of the client management solution from Aagon comes up with selected, practical functions that make everyday work easier for IT administrators.

ACMP 6 is based on the Soest software experts 'recipe for success: developing tailor-made solutions for their customers' IT problems and designing tools that eliminate future bottlenecks in advance. The most important extension of the current version is called Managed Software and takes software distribution to a new level.

Secure software distribution

As part of ACMP, the new Solution Managed Software takes care of the smooth and secure software distribution. If, for example, Google Chrome is to be installed on the clients, the IT manager can first put the software in a container. Test runs can be carried out at this stage without endangering the rest of the IT environment. As soon as the test phase with the container content has been successfully completed, the software can be distributed automatically and risk-free to the other clients.

The Solution Managed Software with its various test and release rings also provides valuable and time-saving help when installing updates, patches or new versions. Another feature that admins appreciate: Managed software (the previous version was called Package Cloud) comes with numerous pre-packaged software bundles of all major current standard software solutions (such as various browsers, runtimes, PDF readers or client software for video conferences ), which are designed for automatic distribution including previous individual adjustments.

Tools kiosk and quick launch

The Kiosk and Quick Launch tools are also new in ACMP 6: The kiosk enables simple software management and allows the user to start certain actions approved by the admin himself - such as installing, deleting or updating selected applications. In order to make operation easier for the user, the applications can be represented graphically in an appealing way - for example as icons. It is also possible to adapt the released software icons according to the look of the respective company or to incorporate individual company logos. In addition, a German or English description can be inserted.

Quick Launch, on the other hand, hides a convenient search function that includes everything in the search - regardless of whether it is about users, contacts, client commands, tools, component names, PCs or the like. In addition, Quick Launch immediately shows where the search result is within the IT system. An overview of the new features can be found on the homepage.
