Aagon makes Microsoft Defender Antivirus fit for companies. Comprehensive and comfortably managed security.
Client management specialist Aagon provides its customers with the new management module for Microsoft Defender in ACMP. The new tool offers administrators the possibility to manage Microsoft Defender Antivirus very comfortably via just one interface on all clients and servers.
MS Defender Antivirus via a central interface
The quality of real-time virus protection Microsoft Defender Antivirus is well known by IT professionals. You use the software to strengthen IT security in the company network. The MS tool reliably detects viruses, malware and spyware in emails, apps, the cloud and on the web. However, using the tool can prove to be time-consuming and cumbersome if no central administration is set up. This is where the ACMP Defender Management comes in, which enables the IT administrator to control all associated clients and servers via a single interface - the ACMP console.
The new solution offers numerous advantages for ACMP users
- significant cost savings, as an additional antivirus solution is superfluous,
- easy commissioning and improved performance, as the MS Defender Antivirus is already integrated in Windows,
- more and clearer management functions than with Microsoft's own administration,
- Dashboards and reports for any security audits as well
- simple and central configuration.
“With MS Defender Antivirus we have found the ideal addition to our ACMP suite. Among other things, I am enthusiastic about additional features such as quarantine management, with which quarantine files can be easily edited via the console, ”explains Sebastian Weber, Head of Product Management at Aagon. "And the feedback from our customers on this innovation is clearly positive."
Further additions to the range of functions
- ACMP Defender Management shows the Defender status, scan histories, the latest threats and information about the next pending scan. In addition, it offers the option of querying the used and unused configuration profiles.
- The tamper protection prevents certain settings from being set that could allow malicious apps to change important Microsoft Defender antivirus settings. This manipulation protection cannot be deactivated.
- Administrators can configure the user rights for configuration profiles, containers and query actions. In addition, the authorizations for groups and their users can be adjusted.
- The tool regularly scans for findings, threats and updates. Notifications about finds are made in real time. There is also an overview of all threats found, failed updates and other events. The display of the events can be configured, and there is the option of filtering, sorting and deleting outdated events.
