A new enterprise endpoint security platform helps IT administrators and MSPs timely detect and respond to cyber threats, reducing costs and effort: Malwarebytes ThreatDown.

With ThreatDown, Malwarebytes will in the future offer a range of effective and user-friendly cybersecurity products and services that will particularly benefit companies with limited IT and IT security capacities. The ThreatDown product family, previously known as 'Malwarebytes for Business', includes various solutions that have been specifically developed to help IT managers in companies ward off threats in today's highly complex cyber landscape. For this purpose, users have access to various intuitive and effective technologies: including the new Security Advisor dashboard and the new ThreatDown bundles.

Malwarebytes today has two business units, both of which operate under the leadership of the management team and cover two different customer segments: Malwarebytes for individuals and ThreatDown for enterprise customers, partners and managed security providers (MSPs). Both business areas have dedicated experts, solutions and strategies to best meet the needs of different customer segments.

Eliminate cyber threats, not your own IT department

According to IDC's 2023 Worldwide Small and Medium Business Survey, 60 percent of medium-sized companies have only one to four full-time IT employees. Complex integration and implementation projects and the effective management of technical solutions therefore become a significant challenge. ThreatDown simplifies these complex processes by combining market-leading cyber threat detection and response solutions, an intuitive user interface, and easy deployment into a scalable, single-agent, single-console platform to protect people, devices, and data.

“With ThreatDown, we give our enterprise customers exactly what they need – powerful, simple endpoint security that eliminates threats without impacting ongoing business processes. ThreatDown reduces the potential attack surface in the IT landscape and thus ensures cost and effort savings,” says Marcin Kleczynski, founder and CEO of Malwarebytes.

Efficient, lean cybersecurity

The ThreatDown portfolio is based on Malwarebytes' market-leading Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service. In addition, ThreatDown includes two new solutions that are available now and provide even more efficient and streamlined endpoint security: ThreatDown Security Advisor and ThreatDown Bundles.

ThreatDown Security Advisor:

  • The security advisor analyzes a company's cybersecurity and, on this basis, creates an evaluation that shows gaps in IT security and provides prompt, actionable recommendations.
  • With a dashboard that shows IT administrators the status quo of their company's IT security - or MSPs that of their entire customer base - with detailed instructions on next steps, significant improvements in overall security can be achieved in minutes.
  • Users of the beta version were able to increase the effectiveness of their IT security by around 10 percent, which corresponds to a measurable improvement in their prevention and defense measures. Using the solution, they performed more scans of their IT landscape and set up more robust policies, such as protection against brute force attacks.

ThreatDown Bundles:

  • Today it is no longer enough to just stop malware. Organizations need a solution that covers the full spectrum of security measures - from attack surface reduction and attack prevention, to threat detection and response, to remediation.
  • The ThreatDown Bundles include four new service packages that combine various services, modules and technologies to optimize cybersecurity in companies and offer a solid foundation of protection with the best possible process and cost efficiency.
  • A range of attractively priced options - from AI-powered threat remediation tools to fully managed 24/7/365 support - ensure every organization always has the right security tools at their disposal.
