Vectra investigates the impact of “as a service” on cybersecurity. In one way or another, practically all companies have touchpoints with the cloud, even if many may not necessarily be directly aware of it.

Depending on the type and scope of cloud usage, this has direct consequences for cybersecurity, which Andreas Müller, Director DACH at Vectra AI, explains. Enterprise migration to the cloud is a broad term that encompasses many different trends. Firstly, the relocation of existing applications from private data centers to a cloud service provider (CSP) such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform, often also referred to as lift-and-shift or infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS).
