Aagon with the ACMP CAWUM tool takes care of the necessary patches and updates and thus of the necessary IT security in the home office and in the company.

In the home office in particular, the work computers must always contain all important and security-relevant updates. Because there is no firewall structure there, as is the case in the system landscape within the company, and so the home office can quickly develop into a gateway for malicious software or unwanted scouts. Aagon provides a remedy with the ACMP CAWUM tool, which takes care of the necessary patches and updates and thus creates the necessary IT security - for users and IT administrators.

Aagon-Tool CAWUM - Complete Aagon Windows Update Management

Since Corona and the fast, often unplanned set-up of countless home offices, everything has changed. While the system administrator in the company takes care of the updates and patches, many home PCs are not up to date in terms of topicality and security. The first problems often arise with the remote connection, because company clients and home office PCs should be on the same, current patch status. The ACMP tool CAWUM (Complete Aagon Windows Update Management) provides valuable help here. Unlike the widespread Windows Update Services (WSUS), the new Aagon solution enables IT managers to install Windows updates in a controlled, targeted and effective manner.

The main advantages of CAWUM especially for the home office include:

  • Automatic restart: The user does not have to sit at the PC during the update in order to manually initiate the restart that may be required
  • The time of the update can be set individually (around midnight so as not to disturb the user)
  • With the Wake on LAN function, the PC can be started via the network and then updated
  • In the case of clocked home office PCs for which there is only a limited data volume, the update installation can be postponed until an unlimited connection is available. CAWUM excludes updates via mobile radio on request
