New functions and improvements with the DriveLock Release 2020/2: early hazard detection, application control, DriveLock Operations Center and more.

DriveLock, one of the leading international specialists for IT and data security, is releasing numerous extensions and improvements for its Zero Trust platform with the 2020.2 release. DriveLock thus offers comprehensive protection against current challenges in the field of cybersecurity. In addition, the company implemented customer requests and suggestions for improvement in order to make the new version even more user-friendly.

Implementation of customer requests

"With the new update, it was important for us to build on our previous experiences and successes," says Anton Kreuzer, CEO of DriveLock. “We are continuously developing our solution so that we are always up to date and one step ahead of cyber criminals. In addition to expanding our preventive protective measures, expanding Advanced Threat Protection is a significant step towards holistic cyber security. Our customers recognize attacks early and easily and can quickly initiate appropriate measures. "

Advanced threat detection

It has never been so easy to detect attacks with DriveLock! Events from other manufacturers can now be collected via the DriveLock agent and analyzed and combined to protect against attacks. Predefined logics, such as the EDR rules based on the MITER ATT & CK® framework, can now be easily imported and exported. Over 100 predefined rules are supplied with this release to ensure that it is as user-friendly as possible.

Improved application control

The previous release had already made the DriveLock Application Control more user-friendly. The 2020.2 release also makes it easier for administrators and offers a larger overview. Different rule types have been re-summarized, which in turn allows completely new combination options. In particular, the last six months with the high increase in ransomware attacks such as LockBit illustrates the need for protective measures such as intelligent application control.

DriveLock Operations Center

In the DriveLock Operations Center, all new features are aimed at increased user-friendliness: Revised views, reports, administration functions and predefined list views improve the usability of the web-based interface. In addition, new search and filter options offer additional flexibility and navigation aid. Based on customer requests and feedback, DriveLock has made numerous detailed improvements - especially in the areas of Microsoft Defender Integration and BitLocker Management.
