Trend Micro improves hybrid cloud security by integrating with AWS Gateway Load Balancer. The integration enables simplified usability and dynamic, smooth implementation. Trend Micro introduces the integration of its hybrid cloud security solution with the newly introduced AWS Gateway Load Balancer (GWLB).

This new service makes it easy to deploy, scale, and manage third-party virtual appliances with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The integration enables customers to use appliances from trusted vendors such as Trend Micro in a manner that is automatically scalable and operates to continuously meet security requirements in an as-a-service format.

Hybrid cloud model

Companies are increasingly migrating their infrastructures to a hybrid cloud model in order to meet the requirements of remote working. Gartner stated in a recently published report, "The realities of a dynamic cloud require that security functions automatically adapt to the protected workloads, since an IP address alone is no longer sufficient for security." (1) Trend Micro Cloud One - Network Security with GWLB offers protection that does justice to the dynamic nature of cloud migration.

"To keep IT operations running, meet compliance standards and protect complex systems in the cloud, security must be approached proactively," said Mark Nunnikhoven, vice president of cloud research at Trend Micro and AWS Community Hero. “Customers need an appliance that adapts to growing volume and automatically enables centralized implementation of network security with less friction. GWLB with Cloud One - Network Security helps solve this problem for security teams. "

Trend Micro Hybrid Cloud Security

Security teams using GWLB with Trend Micro for their hybrid cloud security can benefit from high availability, scalability and load balancing while maintaining all product features and benefits.

“Companies are moving their infrastructure to the cloud and are looking for ways to easily fit, scale, and manage security appliances into their network topologies,” said Mayumi Hiramatsu, vice president, Amazon EC2 Networking, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “Trend Micro is an AWS Advanced Technology Partner with years of experience delivering security solutions that enable customers to fulfill their part of the shared responsibility model. The AWS Gateway Load Balancer with Trend Micro's security solution is now available to more than 290.000 active buyers on the AWS Marketplace and can help our mutual customers meet their network security needs in the cloud.
