The AV-TEST security laboratory tested five protection solutions for companies running MacOS Catalina in November and December 2020.
The protection solutions for Macs tested in the laboratory had to show how well they had proven themselves in the areas of 'protection' (protection), 'system load' (performance) and 'usability'. The following solutions are included in the test.
- ESET Endpoint Security
- FireEye Endpoint Security
- McAfee Endpoint Security for Mac
- Sophos endpoint
- Symantec Endpoint Protection for Mac
Each of the products could achieve up to 6 points in the laboratory per test category - a maximum of 18 points. The products ESET Endpoint Security, McAfee Endpoint Security for Mac and Symantec Endpoint Protection for Mac achieved the maximum number of points in the test.
