Sophos has combined its endpoint detection and response solution Intercept X with EDR and its extended detection and response solution XDR in one solution.
Customers who use Sophos Security solutions with EDR are currently being converted to the much more extensive XDR technology automatically and as a free service. In addition, the data history in the Sophos Data Lake has been increased from seven to thirty days. Customers who already use endpoint or server EDR now benefit from additional detection and response functions.
Detailed threat analysis with Sophos XDR
Just recently, Sophos announced the further development of its EDR offering, the availability of the Sophos Data Lake and the introduction of Sophos Extended Detection and Response (XDR) with integrations into the firewall and e-mail products. These new features allow customers to investigate historical and suspicious events even when a machine is offline. IT teams and threat hunters reduce detection time by being able to see and investigate the big picture of all activity around them. In the event of suspicion, the examinations are easier and faster, which shortens the overall critical response time.
Free upgrade to XDR technology
"The free upgrade to XDR technology for all customers with Sophos Intercept X represents considerable added value and once again underlines our claim to provide our customers with the best possible next-generation IT security," comments Sven Jansen, Director Channel Sales DACH at Sophos, the new offer. “But the channel also benefits sustainably from the change, as the managing partners benefit enormously from the better identification of problems in the network down to the application level and the transparent device management. The analysis of data from the last 30 days gives a crystal-clear view of the situation and lets you forget the black spots that otherwise often occur in forensics - and without having to have any affected or lost devices online. "
Intercept X Advanced with EDR becomes Intercept X Advanced with XDR and Intercept X Advanced for servers with EDR becomes Intercept X Advanced for servers with XDR. Sophos MTR customers will also automatically benefit from this new offer without changing prices.
