Trend Micro offers new bespoke solutions and dedicated sales for telecommunications providers. This should bring comprehensive security for cellular networks and their users.

Trend Micro, one of the world's leading providers of cybersecurity solutions, is increasing its activities in the telecommunications sector in Germany. The company offers telecommunications providers a comprehensive portfolio of solutions with which they can both secure their own infrastructures and offer their customers new services.

Trend Micro strengthens its sales activities in the telecommunications sector in Germany. The Japanese IT security provider offers telecommunications companies a comprehensive portfolio of solutions with which they can effectively secure their networks and the underlying infrastructures - including the 5G networks that are currently being set up. In addition, they can offer their customers new services with Trend Micro solutions, which range from protecting private households and securing small and medium-sized companies to security for Industry 4.0 applications and 5G campus networks. Now that the solutions have already been used successfully in many Asian countries, Trend Micro would like to establish them on the market in Germany as well.

Effective protection of cellular networks

Telecommunications networks are the backbone of modern, networked societies, which makes them a particularly attractive target for cyber attacks. They are therefore also among the critical infrastructures (KRITIS) that require special protection. With the Trend Micro Virtual Network Function Suite (TM VNFS) network operators can secure their 4G / LTE and 5G networks and offer their customers additional network-based security functions as value-added services.

Leading telecommunications companies around the world are already successfully using the solution. These include, among others, NTT Docomo, the largest mobile operator in Japan, and the most important Taiwanese telecommunications provider, Chunghwa Telecom. With the Trend Micro Mobile Network Security announced last week, the protective functions will also be extended to end devices for (industrial) IoT applications. This makes the solution particularly relevant for the 5G campus networks that are increasingly being set up.
