The hardware-encrypted USB stick DataLocker Sentry One now also has a BSI certification from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) as part of the so-called "Accelerated Security Certification" (BSZ).

The basis for this is the mutual recognition of IT security certificates between the BSI and the corresponding French authority ANSSI (Agence national de la sécurité des systèmes d'information). DataLocker Sentry One already has a CSPN certification (Certification de Sécurité de Premier Level).

The USB stick offers hardware encryption (AES 256 bit in XTS mode) and is also certified according to FIPS-140-2 Level 3. Authentication via a complex password is required to access the data. If the password is entered incorrectly ten times, the data and the AES key will be deleted. However, the stick can then be set up again and used again. DataLocker Sentry One is available in capacities from 4GB to 128GB.

More security features

For optimal protection of the stored data, DataLocker Sentry One offers a number of additional security options. For example, if the stick is used on systems that are not trustworthy, it can be unlocked in read-only mode. As a result, no malware can be transferred to the drive and changes, deletions and manipulations of the stored data are also not possible. If a stick that is plugged in and unlocked with a password is not used for a (configurable) period of time, it is also automatically locked to prevent data access by unauthorized third parties.

Two versions: standard and managed

DataLocker Sentry One is available in two variants, Standard and Managed. The standard version can be used without central administration, but integration into the central USB management platform SafeConsole is optionally possible. With the "managed" version of DataLocker Sentry One, however, SafeConsole registration is mandatory as an additional security feature. This ensures, for example, that the specified security guidelines are consistently enforced within a company or an authority when using appropriate storage media.
