epiKshare is launched: New file sharing suite for companies offers E2E-encrypted file exchange "Made in Germany".

With epiKshare, a new file-sharing service is now available to companies, which places a special focus on data security and control, while allowing its users maximum flexibility in designing their own data infrastructure. The solution is based on the open source file exchange platform ownCloud. Complemented by hosting in high-availability data centers in Frankfurt, epiKshare even meets the highest data protection and security requirements at the level of ISO 27001. With the help of various add-ons, users can also customize epiKshare to their own needs.

Outlook add-in and end-to-end encryption

The end-to-end encryption (E2EE) guarantees the highest level of data protection when exchanging sensitive and personal data. A specially developed plug-in for Microsoft Outlook enables files to be sent without size or other restrictions. Individual backup solutions guarantee the restoration of your own files as a result of accidental loss.

epiKshare wants to fulfill the vision of limitless and secure file exchange for all those companies for which common SaaS cloud solutions are not an option due to high data protection standards. The data centers meet the highest legal requirements and have all the necessary certifications to host highly sensitive data securely. The combination of highly secure hosting and a high degree of customizability in terms of security functions enables a cloud file sharing platform to be operated for every company, regardless of industry and size.

Additional protection through individually selectable functions

The E2EE plug-in for ownCloud increases the security standard when exchanging data many times over by directly addressing the sender and recipient. Neither the administrator of the ownCloud server nor third parties who have access to the infrastructure can access cached files. Even if the server is stolen, the data is safe.

Thanks to full integration in Microsoft Outlook, users can easily send their files directly from their email client with one click. The files are automatically password-protected and can be given an individual expiration date. Even after sharing, access to files can be changed or deactivated at any time, so that users always have full control over their files.

In addition, epiKshare also offers functions for restoring files. This ensures effective protection against errors, hackers, ransomware attacks and other malicious actions or unauthorized access by third parties at all times.

epiKshare is available for download in a free 30-day trial version.
