Managed detection and response (MDR) for SMEs 24/7, 365 days a year. The IT security manufacturer ESET has expanded its offering with a new service.
The new “ESET MDR” service now also offers medium-sized businesses threat monitoring, detection and tracking of threats, incident response and modern detection and response functions around the clock (24/7). The company is thus responding to the increased demand, which was fueled not least by the requirements of the state of the art. ESET MDR is now available from ESET specialist dealers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Professional security service affordable for SMEs
With ESET Detection and Response Ultimate, ESET has long been offering an extremely comprehensive MDR service, in which dedicated ESET employees deal with their customers' systems on a daily basis and are available as contact persons. This ensures that the solution operates in a way that is tailored to the company. However, this service is expensive and is therefore not a suitable option for many SMEs.
With the new ESET MDR service, the IT security manufacturer addresses this point. This is an AI-powered service, with a dedicated ESET team monitoring and checking everything. All ESET MDR customers are connected to ESET's own Security Information and Event Management tool (SIEM), so threats are detected and stopped using defined response measures. The service is tailored to meet the challenges of hybrid work environments for its users. The ESET service helps companies meet potential NIS2 obligations.
Response to hazards in a maximum of 20 minutes
ESET MDR is able to detect and respond to threats within a 20-minute time frame. To do this, ESET uses its own innovative cybersecurity technologies and telemetry data that the company collects and evaluates around the globe. Customers can also access a library of predefined patterns and create custom rules for effective threat defense. If certain files or processes are detected or behave suspiciously, appropriate actions are then triggered.
Access to a 24/7/365 security service bridges knowledge gaps and frees up internal security teams so they can focus on strategic initiatives - all while facilitating regulatory compliance. Companies can also demonstrate the security measures required by cyber insurance.
“SMEs are increasingly being targeted by cybercriminals. They often lack sufficient financial or human resources. Our affordable, scalable service reduces the risk of small and medium-sized businesses falling victim to ransomware attacks and other forms of security incidents,” said Michal Jankech, vice president of the SMB and MSP segment at ESET.
