Mandiant: SaaS platform with Attack Surface Management module

The new automated offering gives companies a comprehensive overview of their IT environments. Mandiant expands its SaaS platform with a new Attack Surface Management module. It helps them continuously scan their systems for vulnerabilities, leverage threat intelligence, and manage risk.

Mandiant, the leader in dynamic cyber defense and incident response, announces the full integration of Attack Surface Management with the Mandiant Advantage platform. The integration follows the acquisition of Intrigue in August 2021. Mandiant Advantage Attack Surface Management is available now and provides organizations with deep insights into their digital footprint and the vulnerabilities that criminals are most likely to target. With these insights, organizations can take a proactive approach to cybersecurity while gaining peace of mind knowing they are protected from the latest threats.

Proactive approach to cybersecurity

The evolution of IT environments—driven by the rapid shift to the cloud, the accelerated adoption of connected devices, and the rise of remote work—is leading to a growing number of sophisticated threats. Without visibility into the entire attack surface, including legacy systems, unknown assets, and "shadow IT" applications from Dropbox to AWS, organizations have no way of knowing if they are at risk. Therefore, they would not be able to patch security holes accordingly.

Attack Surface Management was developed to solve this problem at scale. This enables companies to look at their digital footprint through the eyes of an attacker. The comprehensive, automated offering is specifically designed for dynamic, decentralized and cloud environments. It provides detailed insights and continually reviews and prioritizes vulnerabilities based on the current threat landscape. This gives organizations instant, actionable insight into their current risk profile. Deep integration and alignment with security programs, third-party security tools, and external datasets further mitigates risk.

Solid foundation of strong safety hygiene

“Effective cybersecurity depends on a solid foundation of strong security hygiene and posture management. However, the rapidly expanding scale and complexity of modern IT environments make this a major challenge,” said Jon Oltsik, Senior Principal Analyst and ESG Fellow. “Leading companies realize they can't protect against unknown vulnerabilities, so they're embracing tools that provide a comprehensive view of their attack surface. Mandiant Advantage Attack Surface Management can help security teams meet the growing need for comprehensive, pervasive visibility into the enterprise. At the same time, it provides continuous vulnerability assessment and the insights needed for risk prioritization.”
