Jamf, the global leader in Apple Enterprise Management, is now offering enhanced workflows in the Microsoft security ecosystem and more software titles for automated application lifecycle management (ALM).

The two new integrations offer companies, educational or health organizations the advantages of endpoint security management that has been specially developed for the respective platform. In this way, workflows can be optimized and investments that have already been made in the Microsoft ecosystem can be improved.

Integration of Microsoft Azure Sentinel and Jamf Protect

Jamf integrates the specially developed Mac security functions of Jamf Protect into the cloud-based SIEM and SOAR solution Microsoft Azure Sentinel. Azure Sentinel is used by security teams to get a comprehensive overview of IT security and to automate the response to incidents. With the integration, Azure Sentinel customers can now take advantage of Apple-specific security insights, malicious activity reports, and Jamf Protect malware prevention from a single web-based console ("single pane of glass"). Other advantages:

  • Full data flow from Jamf Protect to Microsoft Azure Sentinel.
  • Integration of Mac data and activities into existing Azure Sentinel dashboards and remediation playbooks.
  • Easily configure the integration with no impact on end-user devices.

Jamf expands software titles in Jamf Pro

With the takeover of the patch management provider Mondada in autumn 2020, Jamf has further expanded its possibilities in the area of application management. Jamf has migrated more than 100 new software titles from Mondada's Kinobi solution to Jamf Pro. Among the new titles are many of the most popular apps installed by Mac users. This gives IT administrators a more end-to-end workflow for monitoring and maintaining applications within Jamf Pro. End users now have the most up-to-date and secure versions of the applications at no additional cost.
