it-sa Award: 10 cybersecurity start-ups in the pitch: audience decides who wins the UP21 @ it-sa Award. Prevoting phase on September 9th in the final pitch event on the it-sa 365 dialogue platform.

Ten IT security start-ups from Germany, Austria and Switzerland have the chance to win the UP @ it-sa Award this year. They were already able to convince the expert jury with innovative technical approaches and future-proof business models - and are now facing the vote of the IT security community: During the pre-voting phase and on September 9 in the final pitch event on the it-sa 365 dialogue platform. The winner will be honored live at it-sa 14 on October 2021th. The trade fair for IT security products and solutions will take place from October 12th to 14th in the Nuremberg Exhibition Center.

The nominated applicants pursue different ideas to strengthen trust in digital technologies. What they have in common is the innovative strength for more data protection and the security of IT infrastructures.

  • Bitahoy
    Making the smart home safer is Bitahoy's mission.
  • brighter AI Technologies
    The start-up brighter AI brings AI requirements and data protection in line with the storage of image and video data.
  • Code intelligence
    With a security suite, code intelligence helps companies to simplify their software test processes.
  • CodeShield
    CodeShield comes up with software that performs automated security audits and code reviews of cloud apps.
  • CyberTrap software
    The name says it all, because CyberTrap lures hackers into a trap to protect their own network.
  • decentriq
    Exchanging and processing data securely - this is possible with the SaaS solution from Decentriq.
  • LocateRisk
    LocateRisk helps IT decision-makers with a report on the security of the company-wide IT infrastructure.
  • Nec
    Nect is entering the race with an app for fully automated online identification.
  • TrustCerts
    Check documents for validity? TrustCerts relies on the blockchain.
  • XignSys
    For secure authentication, XignSys relies on biometrics, cryptography and hardware security modules.

Nominated by the jury

The ten cybersecurity start-ups nominated for the pitch were already able to clear the first hurdle: They convinced the jury made up of IT security specialists, industry representatives and last year's winner asvin. The jury not only focused on the degree of innovation of the young companies, the business model also had to score.

Voted online by the audience

Now the audience is in demand, because in the second round the nominees present themselves online in the pre-voting and in the subsequent pitch on the dialogue platform it-sa 365: In a first voting round before the pitch on September 9, all interested users can already participate in a cybersecurity Coordinate start-up. To this end, the nominees introduce themselves in short video clips that can be accessed on it-sa 365.
