Authorities can now call up the Federal Department Store: GreenShield software for VS-NfD-compliant email and file encryption. With immediate effect, federal authorities and institutions can obtain the GreenShield e-mail security software directly and easily from the German Federal Department Store (KdB).

Cv cryptovision GmbH has concluded a framework agreement with the procurement office of the BMI for the federal administration on the BSI-approved GreenShield software. As part of the contract, necessary services for implementation, operation and support can also be ordered from the KdB.

Compliant VS-NfD email and file encryption

GreenShield protects emails and files on the basis of end-to-end encryption and enables the recipient to verify the integrity of the content and the sender using digital signatures. Files and e-mails are encrypted with just a few clicks and intuitively for the user in the familiar environment of the e-mail program. The GreenShield plug-in integrates seamlessly into the email program as an additional layer of security and offers both users and administrators many additional convenience functions. GreenShield is approved by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) for the electronic processing of classified information with the classification level “Only for official use” (VS-NfD).

GreenShield from now on in the federal department store

“E-mail communication from authorities and companies that is worth protecting is subject to special legal requirements. We have therefore developed a highly secure end-to-end solution for e-mails which, thanks to the BSI approval, allows authorities and companies to comply with specifications up to VS-NfD and at the same time offers users considerably more convenience than conventional solutions " says Markus Hoffmeister, cryptovision CEO. “We are very pleased that we were able to convince the procurement office of the BMI with GreenShield”.

Cryptovision has many years of experience in the development of highly secure solutions for authorities and companies in the VS environment. The company has particular expertise in regulatory issues and, in close cooperation with certification and IT security authorities, develops secure solutions for processing information up to the classification level VS-NfD, NATO- and EU-restricted. Cryptovision products and solutions are used within public administration, by the military and in the secrecy-protected economy. They are also used in organizations that rely on highly secure communication, including banks, insurance companies and operators of critical infrastructures (KRITIS).
