New foundation K4 DIGITAL: Holistic digitization and cybersecurity for industry. A dozen renowned industry and security experts ensure industrial security that goes far beyond classic IT security.

Under the umbrella of K4 DIGITAL GmbH, twelve of the most renowned German security and industry experts formed in the last quarter of 2020 to implement the topic of cybersecurity for industrial companies in a new, holistic form. In contrast to the typical IT-centered approach of a classic system house service, K4 DIGITAL supports companies and organizations in the planning and implementation of cross-company security processes in order to protect them against current and future cyber risks.

Industrial processes with digitization and cybersecurity

On the basis of a comprehensive workforce transformation, K4 DIGITAL combines industrial processes with digitization and cybersecurity under a uniform management and security strategy - for example in the areas of production, critical infrastructures, traffic and logistics, supply, building and urban development (smart city and smart building ), to name just a few.

The team under the direction of Michael Krammel relies on an interdisciplinary and holistic approach, which does justice to the actual state of the industry today. The focus is not only on the technical possibilities and arguments that relate exclusively to the IT infrastructure, but also on the integral interaction in business models, organizational structures, processes, technologies and, above all, people. The K4 DIGITAL business model combines coaching in the organizational structure from management to operational implementation. This also includes individual solution finding, know-how transfer and qualification, process analysis and optimization in the context of the available options for cybersecurity and digitization.

The approach is no longer appropriate

“Very few business models that we encounter in industry today were created in the here and now. Companies have grown organically or through mergers over many years and often try to achieve sufficient cybersecurity exclusively through IT. This approach is no longer up-to-date and is taking place at a level that has long ceased to do justice to the threat posed by cybercrime, ”explains Michael Krammel, Managing Director and Security & Transformation Coach at K4 DIGITAL. "At least as agile, flexible, fast and creative as cybercrime is developing, companies must be equipped with their prevention, detection and reactive security measures throughout their organizational departments and in all digital processes."

With interdisciplinary competence and its Cybersecurity and Digitization Excellence Center, K4 DIGITAL bridges the gap between classic IT security and innovative digital future fields in industry - both methodically, organizationally and operationally.
