ESET Endpoint Security receives top marks from test institute SE Labs. AAA award for efficiency and detection of malware in the “Enterprise Endpoint Protection Test Q1 2021”.

The IT security manufacturer ESET has once again proven the quality of its solutions in an international comparison. In the recently published "Enterprise Endpoint Protection Test Q1 2021" awarded the independent test laboratory SE Labs ESET Endpoint Security the highest possible AAA rating. The security company was able to get hold of this award twice in the previous year.

9 products tested, 8x AAA

A total of nine endpoint security solutions were examined between January and March 2021. In particular, the testers rated the efficiency of the products in terms of detection and protection against threats in real time. ESET Endpoint Security received an overall accuracy of 1,116, the second highest score (99%) of the solutions tested.

ESET Endpoint Security is based on the combination of advanced antivirus and network security technologies. This approach was completely convincing in the test: It withstood a mixture of targeted attacks and real, web-based threats perfectly. The results show that the security solution is consistently effective at blocking malicious URLs, handling exploits, and correctly classifying legitimate applications and websites.

Test in a real environment

Jiri Kropáč, Head of Threat Detection Labs at ESET, comments: “The award reflects our commitment to providing enterprise customers with the best antivirus and cybersecurity solutions. And it underscores our consistent efforts to offer forward-looking and reliable products that stand the test in practice. Testing our solutions in real environments clearly shows that our customers are in the best hands.”

About the test scenario: In its test, SE Labs examined both the protection against known threats and the defense against targeted attacks. The test scenario depicts the most realistic possible threat situation with which companies in the digital world are confronted on a daily basis.
