The IT security manufacturer ESET is further expanding its offer for connected managed service providers (MSP). They now benefit from a new Direct Endpoint Management plug-in for the remote and management solutions from SolarWinds. MSP can conveniently manage the ESET products used via SolarWinds RMM and SolarWinds N-Central. ESET has also added its cloud sandboxing solution - ESET Dynamic Threat Defense - to the MSP portfolio. With the extended behavior analysis in a European sandbox cluster, the level of protection of the entire organization increases considerably.

“Anyone who thinks of managed security services in the security industry can no longer ignore ESET. With the renewed expansion of our range, we are now offering perhaps the most comprehensive portfolio on the market. And the partner can even choose whether he wants to carry out administration in the cloud or on premise, ”says René Claus, MSP Channel Account Manager at ESET Germany.

Direct Endpoint Management with SolarWinds relies on automated processes

In addition to Datto, ConnectWise, Kaseya and Server-Eye, ESET now offers another plug-in for remote monitoring and managing of ESET products. SolarWinds RMM makes it easier for MSP partners to integrate, maintain and license management in existing systems. Processes can be easily automated and potential problems can be resolved quickly and reliably without manual intervention. If, for example, a new threat is found on an endpoint, the service provider automatically receives messages or tickets. If previously defined, the detection of a threat can automatically start a scan of the entire hard disk. The checking of the currency of security products or the periodic implementation of updates can also be set beforehand. This saves the managed service provider time, increases the level of security and reduces costs for the customer.

ESET Dynamic Threat Defense eliminates phishing, APTs and ZeroDays

ESET Dynamic Threat Defense (EDTD) is now also available as an MSP solution. Analyzing potentially dangerous and previously unknown binary code in a cloud sandbox offers additional protection against a range of threats. In this way, phishing attacks or ransomware attacks can be ruled out at an early stage. Suspicious samples are sent automatically or manually if necessary to the ESET data center and its sandboxes. In the cloud, the sample is executed in physical and virtual environments, analyzed using various AI and machine learning algorithms, and the result of the behavioral analysis is secured using anti-evasive technologies. Compared to the endpoint solutions, EDTD uses a much wider range of technologies to detect potentially dangerous files. The result of the check is then made available to all endpoints in the organization (also outside the company network), potential threats and thus "patient zero" remain outside of the company's own perimeter.
