Cryptshare receives patent for simple, encrypted communication. QUICK Technology, developed in Germany, has now been patented. The technology for e-mail encryption puts the focus on the user and at the same time ensures a high level of security.

E-mail encryption is a major challenge for many, since solutions are usually too complicated for users. It is therefore the aim of Cryptshare AG to make secure communication as easy as possible for users. The German software manufacturer developed QUICK Technology for this purpose, which has now been patented in Germany (patent number 10 20 17 201 142). This technology eliminates the complexity of exchanging passwords to encrypt files and emails. In this way, communication processes between users who regularly correspond with one another are simplified and accelerated.

More usability - less complexity

The patented QUICK Technology ("Quick Use Integrated Cryptshare Key") makes the exchange of one-time passwords or the use of static key pairs, which often become a security problem, superfluous. It uses two-factor authentication to identify the correct recipient. A one-time password is created with a secret key for every communication process, after the first use every further transfer is then protected by a permanent, secure connection. The receiving end can derive any password automatically without having to exchange it with the sender.

"With QUICK, we want to help e-mail encryption achieve a widespread breakthrough," explains Matthias Kess, CTO of Cryptshare AG: "There are several reasons that have contributed to the comparatively low use of public key infrastructures to date. This is where we come in with an approach that eliminates the complexity that has long been associated with the encryption of files and e-mails, and that significantly simplifies and speeds up communication processes.”
