Delinea Secret Server with improved disaster recovery

With the latest version of its proven Secret Server, Delinea, a leading provider of Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions for seamless security, now offers improved disaster recovery and also sets new standards in terms of remote access.

In addition to new design updates based on customer feedback, IT and security teams benefit from new security controls for greater reliability and a remote access service, a VPN-less session management feature that greatly simplifies the integrated management of privileged accounts.

Credentials are the weak point

As the CrowdStrike Global Threat Report 2022 showed, 80 percent of all cyber attacks involve credentials. At the same time, companies are increasingly moving their infrastructure to the cloud and enabling employees to work remotely, further increasing the attack surface. This makes it all the more important for companies to effectively protect accounts and credentials from cyber attacks and misuse by managing and securing privileged access - regardless of where employees and assets are located.

Greater reliability guarantees access to secrets

Secret Server's enhanced disaster recovery capabilities provide organizations with automated redundancy that ensures unrestricted access to Secrets in the unlikely event of an infrastructure failure. Whether customers deploy Secret Server on-premises or in the cloud, they now have the ability to automatically replicate sensitive data to either another on-premises instance or in the cloud to ensure resiliency. Cloud infrastructure enhancements provide seamless failover, faster disaster recovery, and hybrid failover.

VPN-less session management for the remote workforce

In addition, this month Delinea is also introducing the new Remote Access service add-on for Secret Server. This new capability provides VPN-less, browser-based RDP/SSH session management for contractors and remote workers. In addition to Secret Server's current session management capabilities, the Remote Access service improves user experience and reduces friction by not requiring an end-user client or VPN connection to connect to the various environments and systems used by a distributed workforce be used to support. The new remote access service works with both on-premises and cloud deployments of Secret Server.
