Commvault (NASDAQ: CVLT), a leading provider of data management in cloud and on-premises environments, today announced enhanced features for its Commvault® disaster recovery solution. Commvault Disaster Recovery now makes it possible to continuously replicate and orchestrate VMware workloads. In addition, Commvault Disaster Recovery supports DR operations to, from, and between on-premises Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). It provides reliable and continuous data replication with fully automated and orchestrated DR functions, recovery point objectives (RPOs) under a minute and recovery time objectives (RTOs) of almost zero.

Also for Microsoft Azure and AWS

Commvault's automated disaster recovery functions are now also available for Microsoft Azure and AWS and make cloud migration easier. Commvault continues to support different cloud providers and models. In this way, customers can rely on having the necessary flexibility in an emergency to adapt to constantly changing requirements.

"We are seeing some exciting developments in the world of disaster recovery, and Commvault Disaster Recovery is extremely compelling given its multiple cloud destinations and rapid cross-cloud conversions," said Christophe Bertrand, senior analyst at ESG. “With everything that's going on in the world today, a data catastrophe could be imminent for any business. Having the right solutions in place to minimize data loss and be able to perform instant recovery operations is critical,” said Bertrand.

Expansion of Commvault Backup with Disaster Recovery

Additional use cases are supported by extending Commvault Backup with Commvault Disaster Recovery. These include cloud migration, seamless integration of storage replication from different manufacturers, protection against the effects of ransomware attacks, simple application validation in the integrated sandbox environment, instant mounts of data from HW and SW snapshots for development and operations -Departments with data masking and much more.

"Disaster recovery and business continuity are top priorities for all companies," said Elke Steineger, area vice president and managing director at Commvault Germany. “This additional cloud support for top-tier clouds represents a major step forward in protecting our customers' data from threats while ensuring it is always recoverable. This allows organizations to take full advantage of the agility and flexibility of the public cloud.”
