Cloud-based stand-alone solution for cloud and on-premise environments - GravityZone platform further expanded. EDR for large companies and MSPs.

With Bitdefender EDR, the IT cybersecurity specialist presents a new endpoint detection and response (EDR) solution for large companies and managed service providers (MSP). This helps to identify active threats better, to remove them more effectively and thus to increase the general resilience of your IT infrastructure against cyber attacks. The single solution is provided as a cloud service and can be used in on-premise as well as cloud environments. At the same time, Bitdefender has expanded its GravityZone platform solution to include additional functions.

Endpoint telemetry solution

Unlike other EDR offerings, the new solution combines endpoint telemetry with human risk analytics and Bitdefender's proven expertise in detecting advanced threats. It enables the rapid assessment of vulnerable systems in local or cloud environments and recommends measures to minimize risks with just one click. This includes quarantining files, blocking IP addresses and interrupting attack processes. Endpoints can also be isolated. Bitdefender EDR is available as a cloud-based stand-alone solution, uses few resources, is easy to set up and supports third-party prevention technologies.

“It is a challenge for large companies and MSPs to keep up with the sheer volume of cyber attacks. The current trend towards remote working brings new risks and criminals invest a lot of energy to take advantage of it, ”said Gavin Hill, vice president of product marketing at Bitdefender. “The new EDR offering from Bitdefender offers the best possible detection of attacks and efficient countermeasures. It relies on intelligent threat analysis by Bitdefender labs. In this way, users can protect the digital values of their company in the current uncertain times. "

More novelties at GravityZone

At the same time, Bitdefender has further expanded its GravityZone platform. The new core functionalities include the following:

  • A new overview dashboard presents the most important information in an easy-to-use, consolidated graphical representation. Detected threats, automatically carried out actions and a current status overview of the individual endpoints are displayed.
  • The improved SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) integration now enables the forwarding of raw data on events at protected endpoints: Customers can search the raw data for a protected endpoint in both on-premise and cloud facilities. This extends the search capabilities embedded in Bitdefender EDR.
  • Ransomware damage control functions are now also available to MSPs and users of the cloud-based GravityZone console. After a blackmail attack, encrypted files are restored from tamper-proof backup copies.
