With HPIX - High Powered Internet X, becom presents a new solution for high availability Internet. Companies and organizations thus have the option of bundling several Internet connections and technologies easily and inexpensively.

HPIX - High Powered Internet X is offered by becom as a managed service including monitoring, management and cloud gateway. Operation is possible in the form of an edge device supplied by becom or in a virtual machine. The termination on the customer side is supplied as a 1GB Ethernet port including one - optionally also several - IP address (es). A firewall can be connected directly here. The solution is also available in two versions for data transfer rates of up to 200 Mbit (200M) or up to one Gbit (1G).

Redundancy in the event of failures

Various Internet connections and any provider (e.g. DSL, LTE, 5G, satellite or fiber optics) can be bundled in parallel with HPIX - High Powered Internet X for maximum bandwidth or configured as a backup. Redundancy can be achieved in this way from as little as two connections, via which tunnels are established to the cloud gateway. If an Internet connection is temporarily disrupted or fails completely, only the bandwidth is reduced. However, there is still access to the Internet. The IP addresses are also permanently assigned so that, for example, VPN solutions can continue to be used without interruption. At the same time, the failed connection is automatically re-established after the fault has ended.
