In order to be able to meaningfully assess the security status of a protection solution for companies under Windows 10, AV-TEST analyzes each product over a period of two months. In the test period of January and February 2022, endpoint solutions for the corporate sector were assessed and awarded the AV-TEST certificate if they met the test standard. In addition, 18 antivirus programs for end users were evaluated.

In January and February 2022, the AV-TEST Institute tested 19 security solutions - and thus almost all important programs on the market - for companies running Windows 10. In the appendix you will find the detailed results showing how well the products performed in the areas of 'Protection', 'System load' (Performance) and 'Usability'.

19 products for business users in the test

Each individual program had to fend off more than 16.000 real malware attacks, whereby all protective functions such as URL / web filters, behavior-based detection and heuristics were taken into account in the test against zero-day threats and widespread malware. In the counter-check, over a million benign websites and files were checked that should not be recognized (false alarm test).
